Award-winning filmmaker Andrea E. Leland collaborated with James Brewster to create a 70-minute documentary that is a spirited musical journey to the Caribbean focusing on Scratch band music (also known as Quelbe) an indigenous, grass-roots form of folk music from the Virgin Islands that was recently declared the “official” music of the Virgin Islands.

If you can arrange to be on island during the summer, don't miss the awesome music, festivities and fun of St. John carnival.  Carnival week starts the week before July 4th, and ends on the 4th with a fabulous parade and fireworks.

St. John Blues Festival

March 17 - 21, 2010
The Festival begins with performances at various resturants and favorite watering holes across the island taking place throughout the week. The festival ends with a fabulous concert at the Coral Bay ball field, with appearances by outstanding, world-class blues artists.
