Award-winning filmmaker Andrea E. Leland collaborated with James Brewster to create a 70-minute documentary that is a spirited musical journey to the Caribbean focusing on Scratch band music (also known as Quelbe) an indigenous, grass-roots form of folk music from the Virgin Islands that was recently declared the “official” music of the Virgin Islands.

If you can arrange to be on island during the summer, don't miss the awesome music, festivities and fun of St. John carnival. Carnival week starts the week before July 4th, and ends on the 4th with a fabulous parade and fireworks. There's music and food every night at Carnival Village, and a Children's Village with rides and games for all ages!
This lively, energetic group of musicians is a regular fixture in the clubs of St. John in the winter months. The richly layered swinging style
instrumentals of Jay Keefe, Ike Eichenberg, and Brian Silber get you up and dancing, while Laurie Keefe's vocals have delighted listeners for years.

Playing all original music, this mellow, funk/roots band can be found playing at the Beach Bar in Cruz Bay and other St. John venues. The band members include: Brianna Felix on vocals, Jared Warren on Guitar & back-up Vocals, Bo Magnie on Bass & Lead guitar, and Jon Moore on Drums.
Come listen to some of the best performers on St. John. You'll hear local undiscovered talent, and guest artists play and jam on a variety of styles including folk, rock, bluegrass, contemporary folk, blues, country and jazz. Inner Visions Band
St. John's own home grown reggae band, "Inner Visions will take you on a Conscious Reggae journey of the yester years, bringing you forward to the present, with new vibes, holding tight and true to the Message that is in the Music Reggae! This is definitely the group to watch. Inner Visions continue to remain true to the Roots of Reggae, which has garnered them the title of The Caribbean Masters of Reggae"
Love City Live! gains its major momentum from the high-energy of Morgan Heritage. This well known reggae band is only part of the full Love City Live! experience including boating, beach getaways, liming, duty-free shopping, savoring authentic cuisine, dancing and simply relaxing while taking in local beauty and culture. SJSA will host 4 music concerts for this 2013 season capturing the high caliber performances of world renown musicians as well as appearances and concerts by local talents. A series ticket is $100. Each concert ticket is $30 at the door. SJSA is located one block south of Sprauve School next to Grace Chapel.
